Reducing its own weight The steel plate is designed as a series of low-alloy, high-strength, wear-resistant steel plates based on the addition of a number of alloying elements required, and is processed through the steel plate so that it has a high degree of hardness (wear resistance) that can correspond to a variety of specifications. As a result, the weight of structural components can be significantly reduced.

Excellent welding performance Special consideration is given to the welding performance of the steel plate, and under the premise of ensuring the wear resistance and mechanical properties of the steel plate, the carbon equivalent of the steel plate is reduced as much as possible, and a unique composition design is carried out. The welding material is selected through the corresponding process test, and can be used with peace of mind in both the steel plate and the welding material.

Good toughness By strictly controlling the chemical composition, minimizing the content of harmful elements in steel, and selecting reasonable heat treatment conditions, the steel plate has good toughness. As a result, highly reliable structures can be constructed against brittle damage of wear-resistant components.

 Steel plate quality control level

●High purity of steel with very low impurity content, which can reach [P]≤0.010%, [S]≤0.005%, [N]≤50ppm, [H]≤2ppm, [O]≤15ppm.

●Small fluctuation range of composition between different furnaces of the same specification of steel plate.

●The hardness of steel plate is controlled uniformly, and the difference of hardness of steel plate is small.

●The tolerance of steel plate is strictly controlled, the plate shape is flat, the surface is smooth and clean, and the unevenness can be controlled below 5mm/m.

Gas Cutting Characteristics

Like ordinary steel plates, steel can be processed by gas cutting and has good gas cutting characteristics. Considering the crack sensitivity of thick plates and high hardness grades, in order to prevent cracks in the steel plate during gas cutting, high gas and oxygen pressures and reduced cutting speeds should be selected for processing. Note: When cutting small components over a long period of time, the component hardness decreases with increasing temperature. A thin hardened layer with a depth of 2-3mm will be formed on the gas cutting surface due to the thermal influence.

Processing characteristics

Steel plate has good cutting and shearing properties. In steel plate machining, according to the hardness of the steel plate and the use of cutting tools, reasonable selection of the amount of feed and feed speed, usually choose the tool material for high-speed steel or carbide, especially cobalt alloy high-speed drills. Note: In the case of high hardness, the cutting volume and feed volume should be minimized.

Cold forming properties

Despite the high strength and hardness of the steel plate, its cold bending properties are good, and the steel plate can be processed by cold forming. To prevent cracking at the edges during cold forming of steel plates, the flame-cut or sheared edges in the bending area need to be trimmed. Note: As the yield strength increases, the deformation force and resilience required for the same thickness of steel plate should also increase. When steel plates are cold deformed, the following recommended values ("a" is the plate thickness) may be considered.

Hot forming properties

Steel plate has good hot working properties, steel plate can be molded at hot working temperature below 200℃. When the steel plate is heated above 250℃, the hardness of the steel plate will decrease. If the processing temperature exceeds the phase transition temperature (e.g. above AC1), after hot working, re-hardening is required to restore the hardness. Note: The hardness obtained by re-hardening may differ from the hardness measured at the factory due to differences in the processing and hardening equipment used in the production of the steel plate.

Welding Properties

Steel plates are usually welded by flux shielded arc welding and carbon dioxide gas shielded welding to obtain satisfactory welded joints. Alkaline electrodes with low residual moisture should be used for manual arc welding and, if necessary, the electrodes should be dried according to the manufacturer's requirements. For the implementation of high hardness steel plate welding, it is recommended to preheat the steel plate, the preheating temperature can be considered the following recommended values or see the welding specifications. Note: The weld filler material should be within the permissible limits of load on the member and wear on the weld, and soft welding consumables should be selected as much as possible (ER50-6 or 70KG high-strength wire is recommended). At the same time, note that the preheating temperature of the steel plate and components must be avoided to exceed 200 ℃, so as to avoid the phenomenon of hardness reduction. Recommended welding process is as follows:

1、 it is recommended to use solid wire for MAG welding, welding shielding gas for (15-25%) CO? Ar-rich gas, gas flow rate of 18-25lmin;.

2、Prioritize the use of low-hydrogen welding materials. When manual electrode welding, give priority to alkaline electrodes;

3、As far as possible to reduce the number of welding seams; as far as possible to use the longitudinal seam, as far as possible not to use the transverse seam. Welding as far as possible without swinging, the use of multi-layer multi-channel welding, welding heat input is recommended not to exceed 10KJ/cm. recommended maximum heat input Q = plate thickness t10; 4, the bevel shape is preferred to use the U-shaped bevel, the bevel shape is preferred to use the U-shaped bevel.

4、The bevel shape is preferred U-shaped, can reduce the proportion of base material into the weld metal, reduce the carbon content in the weld, to prevent cracks;

5、 Preheating is conducive to preventing cold cracks. When the overall preheating is difficult, local preheating can be used; when the room temperature is lower than 0 ℃ it is recommended to preheat;

6、Conventional welding consumables or high-strength welding consumables can be used:

Conventional welding consumables: available 50kg grade wire (e.g.: beam design mining truck, weld not bearing not wear) 

High strength welding consumables: available 70-80kg grade wire (e.g.: no beam mining truck, weld bearing, weld wear)

Cross-cutting and heat treatment line

The 2250 hot rolling line is equipped with the first wide coil cross-cutting and heat treatment line in China, which can provide cross-cutting steel plates with four cutting edges, as well as realize the annealing, quenching, normalizing and tempering heat treatment of cross-cutting steel plates. It also eliminates the internal stress of steel plate through large straightening force and large deformation, which can be used instead of center plate.
